Armando Martinez, MD is in his second year of cardiology fellowship at UCLA. He was born in Riverside, CA and grew up living all over California from San Diego to Sacramento and several places in between. He is the first in his family to go to college. He attended USC here in LA for his BS in Biological sciences. After, he moved back home to Fresno and worked as a medical assistant for a cardiologist before spending the next 8 years in San Diego for medical school, residency, and a chief resident year. During medical school he was involved with the UCSD chapter of LMSA all 4 years including serving on the West Regional Board. During his residency he stayed involved in multiple EDI programs and efforts including giving a grand rounds lecture on Imposter Syndrome. In his free time he enjoys spending time at the movies, going to concerts, and exploring restaurants with friends.
