Hi all! I grew up in Northern California (San Francisco) and moved to Seattle where I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Business Administration. Before starting medical school, I worked in project management for a global retailer for 7 years. I then was fortunate enough to attend an HBCU, Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN before beginning a Pathology residency here at UCLA. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures and foods. I am very passionate about health equity and decreasing health disparities across the medical system.

I fell in love with Pathology because of the close tie to basic sciences and pathophysiology of the body. Each day in my chosen specialty, I support clinicians in selecting, interpreting and resulting the most appropriate tests for their patients. My subspecialty interest is in Transfusion medicine, where in certain settings I get to the opportunity for direct patient, unlike some of the more traditional anatomic pathologists.

Please reach out to me with any questions. Rooting for everybody in medicine!
